About Tanjina

The patterns that got you here are the same ones quietly keeping you stuck.

If you've landed here, something has already shifted.

Maybe you can't fully explain it yet. Maybe you've been trying to logic your way through it for months. But somewhere underneath the color coded calendar, the deliverables, and the version of you that everyone counts on…something quieter is finally asking to be heard.

That's not a crisis. That's a signal. And it's exactly where this work begins.

Who I Am

I'm Tanjina Shapiro, leadership guide and recovering perfectionist who spent 25 years in high-growth environments being very good at performing the version that others expected of her.

I built businesses and teams from the ground up. Sat at executive tables. Held the COO seat. I was the calm in the chaos, the one with the plan, the one everyone counted on.

And I was really, really good at it.

Until my body decided it was done negotiating.

The chest pains. The 3am wake-ups. The quiet voice that kept asking: how much longer can you keep doing this?

I didn't have a roadmap for what came next. What I had was a question I'd been avoiding for years: What kind of impact do I actually want to have — and how do I want to feel doing it?

That question cracked everything open. Not all at once. Slowly, uncomfortably, and then, finally, with more clarity than I'd felt in years.

It led to pivots. Recalibration. Relearning what it meant to lead from who I actually was, not who I'd been conditioned to be. And ultimately, to the work I do now.

What I Bring

I'm not a guide who found this path without living it first.

I know what it means to carry responsibility at the highest levels. To make decisions without perfect information. To be the one everyone leans on, while quietly wondering if you've somehow ended up on the wrong path.

My background in human-centered design taught me early that the best solutions are co-created, built with people, not for them. That principle runs through everything I do. We figure this out together.

How I Work

Most of my clients come in thinking they have a clarity problem.

What they actually have is a pattern problem. The perfectionism. The people-pleasing. The good girl who learned early that being needed was the safest way to belong. These patterns were smart once. They got you here. But they were never meant to carry you forward.

My work starts with naming what's running the show, because you can't shift what you haven't seen yet. From there we move into experimentation. Not grand gestures. Small, deliberate tests that gather real intelligence about who you are now and what actually works for you.

And here's what most people don't expect: some of that experimentation involves play. Not as a reward, not as self-care, rather  as a genuine access point to the wisdom your analytical mind has been too busy to notice.

When people feel seen, supported, and genuinely aligned, transformation stops being a goal and starts being what naturally happens.

This is structured work. But it's also deeply human. I'll meet you where you are. And I won't let you stay stuck there.

If something in you know it’s time,

that’s enough to begin.
